Who decides what’s right in genomics – why the public matters

Kaleidoscope Health & Care, are a Community Interest Company set up to bring people together to improve health and care.
Here is how they describe their Melting Pot lunch events:
“The world of health and care constantly talks of integration, yet is increasingly disconnected. From GPs to journalists, professors to policymakers, everyone feels out of the loop. Melting Pot Lunch is a new way to help. It’s a simple concept: we bring together diverse groups from across health and care, to discuss a key issue relevant to a range of different perspectives, all over a good lunch in different locations across London.”
Anna was invited by Kaleidoscope to lead the discussion on genomics with policy makers, clinicians and represenatives from NHS England (research team), faculty of medical leadership and management (FMLM) fellows from Macmillan, Genomics England and ConsumerHealth Consulting. As a result of this networking new contacts were made within the health and social care industry.
